See you in two years

Well, this is it. this is the final day for us I believe. Basically, one more recording of vocals and you’re done, or you’re rule in the recording is done.

What do you mean done?

I mean that recording is done for you. Now it’s my time of mixing and after that mastering but no more recording studio.

I feel a bit sad in a way; I mean, I’m really happy that we are about to finish the process and the album is almost done, but I would miss these recording sessions. I think I enjoyed it more than I did writing the songs.

You know what, apart from the nice company, I have to say that I will also miss that a bit. I’m going to spend now some days and weeks with the songs doing the mix for the album but I kind of gotten attached to the songs as well, and usually I don’t get attached. I think we have a fine album coming out here.

It’s going to be a bit weird; how much time was it, almost a year since we started, a lot of delays, holidays, global pandemic… remember that we said we can be ready in five months? I almost set up a release date for three months ago. But other than unnecessary delays, and you being a bit unreachable in some stages – no offence, I’m glad we had some more time to work on it and really make it something we both can be proud of.

So, how’s is it going to be from now on? How’s the mixing process will work?

You are welcome to come and sit next to me hours and hours while I work to make the songs perfect or I can work on it myself and send it to you every now and then, with every advancement, that you can hear, and we can decide if this is the right direction where we both want the album to go to.

Most of my work now is technical anyway, you’ll probably won’t hear the difference between this small note correction to the other. But every sound and every note are important. You’ll be amaze in some cases how different the recording went and how it will be turned out at the end.

And what do I do from now on? I’m still have so much to give within me…

Well, now we are about to finish the album, you work on the art and the chose a name for it, setting up a release data, and doing all the needed registry to every service you feel it’s right. Gathering some musicians, starting to perform, going on a small tour, building a fan base, getting a bit known in the world, or in our small country that unfortunately doesn’t know how to process indie-rock music anymore. Struggle to be heard on every radio station of streaming service you can get into, having the time of your life, and you know – I’ll see you in two years for the second album.
